Showcasing more than 11,000 fish, marine mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, the National Aquarium is Baltimore's biggest tourist draw, and for good reason. The main building has five levels and is packed with noteworthy exhibits. A self-guided tour starts with Wings in the Water, a look into the underwater antics of stingrays and small sharks. Visit the Tropical Rain Forest and enter a steamy world of poisonous dart frogs, piranhas and sloths. A comprehensive tour of the aquarium takes approximately two-and-a-half hours, so plan accordingly if you have a packed schedule.

Love it
By DAMES34 on 07/20/2008
Being a little older, love the lack of stairs. What a gret place have been twice would go again a heart beat. Learn a lot about Marinelife. Didn't cost anymore than other aquariums we have been to.

Hamby family
By JerrryJr on 06/29/2008
The stroller check in, gotta go. Families with kids need their strollers like handicap need their wheel chairs. I've never seen a family attraction go so bad. There is no way parents can enjoy themselves or the kids. If you don't have kids, its for you. Everything is over priced, including the dolphin show which is only about $4.00 extra. We Enjoyed the surrounding entertainment the Inner Harbor had to offer Better than the main focal point of our gettaway at the NAIB.

A crime to the minds of chidren not to go!!
By Cheryl47C on 06/17/2008
My family and I have gone to the aquarium since both kids were little, We have bought the season pass several times. It is a little pricey, BUT I've been to the Science museum in Va. and paid about the same. What about theme parks and a day at Disney?? They cost waaay more and don't teach anything!! I cannot tell you how much my kids have learned as well as my husband and I about marine life, the rain forrest, And everything else the aquarium has to offer. I used to be an avid scuba diver and it saddens me to think of whats happening to these wonderfull creatures on our earth and under water. EVERYONE should visit the aquarium in Balt. or any other city and really look and learn something. This may be the ONLY way a child will get to see, learn, and respect these beautifull creatures that adorn our earth and waters. Show them the beautifull colors, how they change to hide, etc. and enjoy the experience with your family OR alone ( quite enjoyable!! )
