Cincinnati's Northside neighborhood saw an entertainment renaissance with the addition of Jacobs' on the Avenue, a raucous hangout that offers a range of musical settings as eclectic as its surroundings. Jacobs' solidified its status as a hot spot in 2003, when a number of local publications included it in their "Best of Cincinnati" lists. Jacobs' on the Avenue's line-up includes Paris Disco Club on Tuesdays, with its mix of classic soul and Euro pop; Mixed Nuts on Thursdays -- it's a hodgepodge of alternative music; and '80s Night on Fridays.
