Rate and Write a Review It's a Rogers and Hammerstein moment; you almost expect Bloody Mary to start crooning 'Bali Ha'i,' but the only Bloody Marys on site come from the cocktail lounge. Reminiscent of classic Trader Vic's decor, Palisade's lush setting is exotic Polynesian, complete with indoor saltwater tidal pool, marine life, waterfall and footbridge, but the stunning views of the marina and downtown skyline are strictly Pacific Northwest. The seafood-dominated menu also displays South Pacific flavors (pupu platter, anyone?), positioned side by side with more traditional, regional preparations. Alder- and cedar- plank roasted salmon and halibut are signature plates, but the spit-roasted prime rib is also a favorite -- especially when paired with black tiger prawns. The most popular dessert is the Burnt Creme sampler, a trio of mini-pots just right for sharing. For a special occasion, plan ahead to attend the lavish Cityview Brunch, where overeating is elevated to an art form. The dinner crowd tends to be older (and, it must be said, more affluent), but, with its "guava ritas" and Magnolia mai tais, the bar draws a more youthful clientele. Colonize an outdoor table on a hot, sunny day for some of the best real estate in town.
