If you are going for atmosphere, this is not the place, but if you are going for food, this is a MUST. This small and unpretentious restaurant serves the very best Mexican food anywhere in the St. Louis area. I travel extensively and try Mexican restaurants throughout the country. None has even come close to the food at El Tio Gere's. I high recommend it. Worth the trip to St. Charles.  More Reviews

have loved this place for years. try the salted pepper calamari, barbecue pork and scallops with black bean sauce. skip the hot and sour soup and instead try the peking duck. also try any of the hotpots and the snow pea tips. mmmm.  More Reviews
